Amisha Patel, who came to limelight with Hrithik Roshan’s debut movie Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, is now all set to enter Kannada films. Yes! The Bollywood babe will star in Hat-trick hero Shivaraj Kumar’s 100th movie Jogayya. The film is a sequel of superhit Kannada film Jogi and it will be directed Prem.

Ever since Jogayya has been announced, the speculations about its heroine are making rounds. It was reported earlier that director Prem was in talks with Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan for the heroine role. Sources said that Kanav proposed marriage to Amisha when he came to Indiato celebrate her birthday in June last year. He once again popped the question to her in early December last year but she was least interested. This is said to be the reason behind the breakup.

It is said that their relationship has reached the point of no return but we are yet to hear from the actress!

Bollywood actress Amisha Patel has not met her parents since their ugly fall-out a few years ago. However, the parents-daughter seem to have patched up, as they met after a long time.

It is said that Amisha and her boyfriend Kanav Puri met her parents at a mehendi ceremony of a cousin on December 1. Sources also said that she went to her mother Asha’s residence and spent time with her family and relatives, as it was Asha’s birthday.

It maybe recalled that Amisha had a public fight with her parents five years ago, accusing them of misusing her money. Their relationship worsened after her parents didn’t approve her relationship with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. But after having gone through some rough patches, including break up with Vikram, Amisha seems to have learned her lessons.

An ailing Amisha cancels London trip to meet beau but will attend a wedding in the family. Amisha Patel, who has been down with a bad attack of gastroenteritis has cancelled her two-week trip to meet beau Kanav Puri in London – for a wedding in the family!

Says the actress, “I was supposed to go to London last week but was terribly ill. Also, I have to attend a family wedding on November 29. My maternal cousin Priyanka is getting married. My relatives from all over the world will be coming to attend the function. So now Kanav is flying down for the wedding. He will be here for five days.”

Amisha says Kanav was very understanding when she told him she was unable to travel to London. “Kanav has an important deal happening but he will fly down in time for the wedding. In fact, my cousins are thrilled that he’s coming. Kanav had met them in London when Priyanka was shopping for her trousseau and they are all very close to him.”

Amisha adds, “It will be a big fat Sindhi wedding — like the kind Yash Chopra shows in his films. On November 29, there will be a youngsters’ party and I will dress up for it in a pink Versace number as it’s a pink-and-white theme. Neeta Lulla and her daughter Nishka are doing my lehengas, saris and salwar kameez for the function.”
