Bollywood Bombshell Ameesha Patel is surely playing her cards well in the second innings of her career. Her image transformation into a sexy bombshell in her last release ‘Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic’ failed to impress the audience but the actress has lots of promising projects in store for the year 2012.

She’s working on Shortcut Romeo opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh, second schedule of Race 2, and Bhaiyyaji Superhit with Sunny Deol, both of which are to start soon. Now, the actress has landed up with yet another plum role.

She has reportedly been signed up by David Dhawan for his next where Ameesha is requires to play a role of a high-profile prostitute in Prague. This will be first of its kind for Ameesha. The film will go on the floors by April this year and David wants Ameesha to spend at least 15 days to imbibe the energy of Parisians and understand their way of life. Ameesha also confirmed the news saying, “It’s a first for me. And yes, I am really excited to test the waters by playing the role of a high-profile Indian prostitute in Paris.’

The film is being produced by Ameesha Patel Productions. Her business partner Kuunal Goomer adds, “Davidji is in Goa currently shooting for Chashmebaddoor and also preparing for his son’s wedding there. Once done, we are geared to roll by April. The film is a romantic thriller with good comedy and suspense as well. We will shoot Ameesha with real Parisian hookers on the streets there. The effect will be magical.”

Delhi: She was missing in action on the silver screen for sometime but Bollywood actress Amisha Patel is back with a bang, starring in Rajkumar Santoshi`s upcoming film `Power`.

The actress is sharing screen space with stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor in the film and is anxious to deliver a good performance.

“Power is such a big film with people like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn – you feel so small working with them! I was thinking, `How will I perform?` I hope to do a good job and not let my director down,” Amisha told reporters.

The `Kaho Na Pyaar Hai` star is aware that her role might be eclipsed by power-packed performances from such seasoned actors, but is determined to leave a mark with whatever bit is given to her.

“In a film like this obviously a girl gets hidden; the actress is not going to be the focus like the actors, but whatever scenes she gets are important. I am looking forward to it,” said Amisha, who was in the capital recently to launch designer Rocky S` new festive collection at the Aza store.

The actress, whose last major role on the big screen was in `Bhool Bhulaiyaa`, has also signed up to star opposite tennis player Leander Paes in his debut movie `Rajdhani Express`, to be helmed by Sagar Bellary of the `Bheja Fry` fame.

“I have a very interesting role in the film, which is still being developed by the director. It is a drama with a social message. We will start shooting in December,” said Amisha, refusing to divulge further details.

The 35-year-old actress is glued to her TV set these days, watching her brother Ashmit Patel, who is currently locked inside the Bigg Boss house. The actor has been embroiled in quarrels and controversies on the reality show, but sister Amisha is proud of the way he has been handling it all.

“I think he is doing a good job and being very honest. Of course you have nasty people who will try to create controversies, but he is handling it very well. He is the perfect combination of a friend and a flirt, which is great,” said the actress.

But Amisha herself is not ready to be part of any such reality show, saying she is not strong enough to go through such an ordeal.

“To be locked up with unknown people, whose sensibilities, background do not match yours and to take insult after insult calmly like my brother – I don`t think I am strong enough to go through all that,” she said.

Ashmit Patel’s elder sister Ameesha Patel is very happy with her brother’s matured behavior as he didn’t break down on Dolly’s comment about his past scandal about a controversial mms. According to Ameesha, it was very nasty of Dolly to raise the topic of Ashmit’s past scandal while they were having a fight.

Ameesha praises Ashmit, for doing a good job in being honest about things and in handling the nasty housemates (Dolly Bindra) who was constantly trying to bring out the topic of the mms scandal related to Ashmit. Ameesha, also said that she sees Big Boss regularly as this is the only place where she can see her brother nowadays as they cannot even talk on mobile or landline.

Ameesha candidly called her brother an eye candy as he is the most popular man among the women in the house and he managed to woo Sara Khan and Veena Malik in the house of Big Boss. She praises the fact, that her brother is the right combination of a friend and a flirt as most people praise him to be the only good looking guy in the house. Though, she reiterates that it is a show after all and she doesn’t expect him to bring back a bride from there.

She admits that she guides Ashmit about dealing with women and that she has taught him not to disrespect any woman. According to her flirting should take place only till the extent no one is hurt and as long as the other person feels special. In the house of Big Boss, out of 13 participants only 10 are left.

Finally all the speculations about who will star opposite Leander Paes in his debut film Rajdhani Express can come to a rest.

The coveted role of the leading lady has been bagged by Amisha Patel. Patel will be seen romancing Paes in the film, which is scheduled to go on the floors next month.

Our source informs, “Paes signed the film directed by Ashok Kohli sometime back and ever since the film was announced, there has been curiosity over who the leading lady will be.

Paes has been offered films for the last 15 years but he finally agreed to sign the film when he liked the script by Kohli where he will be playing the role of a common man.

Incidentally there were many girls in contention for the title role of the leading lady but it seems Amisha has bagged the coveted role. Apparently Paes has also joined Anupam Kher’s acting academy to brush up his acting skills.”

The source further said, “This is Amisha’s second film after her break-up with Kanav Puri. The couple broke off as Amisha wanted to concentrate on her career and did not want to settle down. Amisha first signed Rajkumar Santoshi’s film Power and has now signed on Rajdhani Express last week.”

When contacted Ashok Kohli, the director of the film said, “We’ve signed her for the film. However we will reveal the details at the right time.”

Amisha Patel said, “Yes I am doing the film and I am quite excited about it. It’s a completely new challenge for me as it’s a very fast-paced plot. I believe that sports and glamour always go hand in hand.

Leander is at the top of his game and there will be lots of curiosity about how good an actor he is.

According to sources close to the actress, Amisha bagged the role because of Baba’s blessings. Well, by Baba in this case we mean Sanjay Dutt.

At the same time, it’s also an open secret that Amisha is a good friend of the Dutt’s. Finally, its’ the Dutt’s who helped her find a foothold back in Bollywood. Now, Amisha is a doing a key role in the upcoming film POWER.’

POWER, will star Big B, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor in the lead apart from Amisha Patel.
